Assistant Coach

Malachi Valenzuela-Mier

Assistant Coach Malachi hails from Long Beach, California where he started playing Lacrosse in 2015 as a high school sophomore with Beach Cities Youth Lacrosse before Wilson officially had a school team. In 2016, Wilson officially started the Lacrosse program, and Coach Malachi was one of the founding team members. A mid-field master and fierce on face-off, Malachi helped the Bruins go 5 and 8 in their inaugural season. With a little more time on the field together under the direction of then Head Coach Sterling, the Bruins proudly finished season two with 13 wins and only 3 losses. Malachi was one of the Bruins all time lead scorers. After graduating, Malachi continued his lacrosse pursuits playing box lacrosse and to date, shares his expertise and passion as a Beach Cities Youth Lacrosse Club coach. One of his biggest joys is being able to teach the game to others and help develop their skills.  When Coach Malachi isn’t on the lacrosse field, he is currently working on continuing his education at Long Beach City College. We are so grateful to Coach Malachi for assisting Coach Sal this season! When you see Assistant Coach Mali on the field, please give him a warm Bruin welcome!
