PTSA President's Welcome
Dear Wilson Families,
Welcome to a new school year. Wilson PTSA (Parent, Teacher, Student Association) is already in the trenches and collaborating with Wilson High School. PTSA serves as a conduit to the high school's needs and student support.
- First, we ask that everyone become a PTSA member. Why you ask? Membership promotes student and family engagement, gives each member a voice in decisions made for students, and helps promote involvement. Plus, PTA is the largest children’s advocacy group in the U.S. Be a part of our PTSA as we advocate for all.
- Secondly, we welcome family members to help and get involved with the PTSA. We welcome diversity, new ideas, collaboration, and positive vibes.
Please use the Bear Store for uniform pieces and spirit wear. PTSA Bear Store committee works hard to keep the designs fresh, new and affordable. The Bear Store is our main fundraiser and the committee continues to give their time in an effort to keep it accessible to the entire student body. Next time you shop, say Thank You to one of the volunteers.
I know we continue to weather this pandemic & the last two years were especially challenging. I encourage everyone to find value in what you are doing, where you work or volunteer, & in the people around you.
Our 3rd child, (last to attend Wilson) Joy is a rising 9th grader. I look forward to the next 4 years!
Feel free to contact me anytime. We are looking for sponsorships, donations of snacks for events and the gift of your time.

The National PTA (National Congress of Parents and Teachers) is a volunteer educational organization, founded in Washington, D.C., in 1897. Branches of the National PTA have been established in all 50 United States, the District of Columbia, U.S. Virgin Islands, and in schools for American dependents
in Europe and the Pacific area.
The California State PTA (California Congress of Parents, Teachers, and Students, Inc.) is a branch of the National PTA, serving as a connecting link between the national organization and its membership within the state.
District PTAs are geographical divisions of the California State PTA, established to carry out its programs. All PTA districts organized after July 1, 1980, are required to have number designations. Councils of PTAs/PTSAs are created by the California State PTA for the purpose of conference, leadership training, and coordination of efforts
of the member units.
Unit PTAs are organized and chartered in conformity with rules and regulations as prescribed in the bylaws of the California State PTA. These units are self-governing bodies for the purpose of planning programs and activities to meet local community needs. However, they are required to observe policies of the California State PTA
and/or National PTA.
